As soon as Costco opens up the street I'm giving my Sam's club card to a hobo and tell him his buddies are looking for him to start working there.

we do both, both are same distance from the house. sams carries the same products at the store all year while costco will have what you need or want one week and once they are sold out they dont get it back unless its their kirkland brand. been bit many time by not impulse buying what i wanted and find it gone when i got back.

Costco - been a member since 1984. Wife had a Sams card, let it lapse in favor of Costco.

Costco. I can't support anything Walmart does.

It depends on what you want to get out of it. I think Sam's Club sells slightly lower end stuff, while Costco is known to sell the more expensive, premium brands. Also, from what I have noticed from being through both stores, I think Sam's sells more stuff that is truly bulk. For example, I think you can get things at Sam's like boxes of Coka-Cola syrup, cases of tiny ketchup packets, and cases of 1oz bags of Doritos made for vending machines, along with the actual vending machine to put them in, while Costco doesn't sell those things.

I think both stores have limited selections of the products that they choose to carry, and they both will leave you frustrated at times, when maybe there is a certain brand of deodorant or baked beans or whatever that you might be used to, and your club chooses to carry a different brand instead.

I belong to Costco, by the way, in case anyone cares.

    Sam's club or costco

Which one is preferred by you all? They are opening a new costco locally and I have had enough of The total lack of customer service at Sams.
