    I would agree with that if there was weight hanging off it / not supported

    Does my Accumilator need a heater ?

    I was told they are more susceptible to cracking. But he could have been full of it.

    Can't you just pipe it with the outlet down to solve the oil-trapping-potential issue?

    It's really no big deal. Like when you install a new oil separator, you gotta prime it with oil. Same thing here, just dump a bit of oil in the housing and walla, you're a super tech !!

    When i opened the filter i read how to put together, but didnt see anything about using 45s to give it the gangsta lean... hmmmm

    I think horizontal looks much nicer, screw them and their oil return!

    Oh yeah ... it blew its load and then the compressor. Who needs stinking safeties ? I suspect the wire braid went first then the vibration cracked the brass.

    Hey VTP99,
    Are you sure that vibration eliminator is leaking? I don't see any oil on it. I think that new expanded style is for applications where you cannot install perpendicular or parallel to the crank.

    Ditto...just serviced a Hussman condensing unit which had the drier installed horizontal .
