Since you brought up NATE, are any of you guys certified, or do you not give to craps? I just got my results back last week, i didnt Ace it, but i passed with flying colors. I didnt really think the test was extremely difficult.

Oh, yeah. If all that doesn't work, don't forget the Nate superdude working in your shop, maybe it was his service call, just be careful and try not to make him look good!

Surely you've heard about auto problems that aren't a problem for the mechanic. Just remember to ask Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. If the answerers don't give away any clues you will only have to tell them "sorry, It will have to be broke before I can fix it". If they aren't happy with that ask them if they want the bill for uneeded parts or just a whole new system!

I always get the ones who saythe fan never shuts off and the O.U is not running.

I get there and the fan switch is in the on position.

This doesnt happen very often, but when it does it's a guaranteed call back sometime down the road. Customer calls, says unit is acting up or making noise of some sort, you go out to check/diagnose a problem and when you get to cust house the damn things not doing it anymore. Just basically looking for different strategies for this problem, or does nobody else have this happen to them? I'm only 22, been in the trade for 4 years, yes i do check for obvious things that could be going on, such as belts, bearings, dirty filters, flame rob mA, propper combustion, etc. So any input would be appreciated!
