We sure do them in the winter, don't need a a couple dozen jobs to do when it gets warm. We'll be swamped already. Don't run them in the cold but come back first warmth to check them.

I will install everything but the condenser in the winter. Rough in lineset, stat wire, install evap and condensate drain. The only reason I don't like installing the outdoor unit in the winter is because it can be a b!tch to level with the ground frozen.

You can install in the dead of winter but can't test/run the AC. Unless its made for cold weather. Your regular AC isn't. I'm guessing your getting a furnace and you can get an AC for a good price but are worried about winter install. If the company is a great one then you will be ok
AC in winter This question is more for all the the techs up here where we get cold and snow. So Im sure whoever does sales at your shop sells combo systems in heating season, my question to you is do you, in the freezing cold dead of winter, still install the condensor, then come back for a start up in the spring/early summer or do just come back in spring and install and start up all at once.
