Getting real slow in Jax.

normal for us in nfla,others not so much.like i posted before,some are closing shop for 2 weeks,thats unheard of.We have been blessed.Been out of new construction for 12 years!

Sounds like resi stinks in Fl, what about commercial/industrial?

Overtime is required to be paid at 1.5 tiems your hourly rate,based on the earning and hours for the weekly pay period.

I am in Sarasota and on straight commision at 20% service, hrly on 1st yr war some 2nd, and flat lead and sales commisions 100/150 for <5000/>5000

What city are you in? I hear the same stories here to. But once March/April come around it'll be back to normal.

i'm in chicago area and have sent resumes to dozens on companys no replys yet

i am located in floridia and knock on wood it seems like busniess as always. the company mathced our total from the year before and have some work lined up for next year. My boos spends lots on advertisment and stays community involved to gather work; however we are not growing and our costumers have been more reluctant to spend.

What is Happening in Florida

I am one of many 5 plus yr guys who have been let go from larger HVAC co.s recently.I can honestly say that these are good techs that perform well either with turnovers and accesory sales and/or have the skillset and knowledge to tackle just about anything as far as residential is concerned.Some such as myself are even Nate cert. and have a excellent performance evaluations and high customer demand.It may be everywhere but I am loosing faith in paradise.I find myself even wanting to go back to Illinois where I can have some extra representation!My heart goes out to everyone struggling right now.God Bless and good luck!
