Nice! Way to think on the fly.

Folding tool like this. http://malcoproducts.com/product/hva...ngth-and-depth Cross breaks done by laying the metal on some cardboard and scoring it from corner to corner with a screwdriver. I agree the slock looks bad but I didn't have a metal shop with me..
Carmon what I meant was that I would stick the metal into the s cleat and while holding s cleat tight with a set or two of seamers I will bend the metal against the edge of s cleat to make a 1" or maybe actually closer to 3/4" bend in metal. The s cleat just gives a edge to bend against. Once I'm finished I pull the s cleat right off and use it again or put it back in truck. I know what your talking about though with the s cleat plenums they are ugly but sometimes you do what you have to do. I also think the universal "pre-made" plenums are ugly but that's just my opinion. I guess the most important thing is functionality. I was on a job recently for a estimate where previous HO made plenum out of pizza boxes I swear this on my life. Whole job was like this. Told customer everything needed redone. Everything. I didn't get the job, heard from a friend new homeowner that's a high school gym teacher did it himself with what was there. Like I said he could just walk into a Wolff bros or famous supply and pay cash for a furnace or condensing unit
the s-cleat as a joint makes my stomach turn..... I did that for a few years many years ago...... looks great though.....
what folding tool did you use? A lot of times I just have to use a peice of s-lap as my "brake" looks good though and even more impressive knowing it was done "on the fly" good job
nice work....no break ....well done....
Couple from the beginning of the week. First is a goodman fancoil someone cobbed a bryant coil into. Filter just sat on top of the coil. Leveled the fancoil up, I didn't have a brake, just whipped a couple transitions up with a folding tool. 5" media filter. Second is a small total electric system I put in a rental house. New trunk line in attic as well. 5" media filter cabinet/base. Picked up a set of diamond holesaws. Worked slick for drilling through the tile floor.
