I worked by choice. I have a lot to do and it seems like there is never enough time in a week to do it. Some stores were madhouses and others normal. One mall had an hour line just to get into the parking area. Glad I know a way around that mess.

Missed this thread somehow when first posted up...
I had a duct install in a nasty shallow crawl on friday all day where the old set up was using the crawl as the return plenum, then a couple no heat calls on Sat. for gas furnaces, then a boiler call and a furnace call today.

Sat and Sunday were no big deal, but I have to say, Friday did suck bad. We had million mph winds here and was freaking cold! Lol. Worse to come in our area, but it seemed so much worse cuz we just aren't ready for this stuff just yet.

In my head it was split which sucked worse. Working in the nasty, knee crushing, dusty, web infested crawl, or heading out for a smoke break and freezing. They both felt about even on that Friday lol.

We are. Far behind on cleans so humping them out. Couple office ladies off, couple of the guys otherwise hard at work. Despite the cold & wind, few service calls came in. Phone was pretty dead. Some of the supply houses were closed today, lazy bums.

I certainly dont miss running out of a service truck. I did that for 10 years. i went corporate. now i have my own cubicle and the best boss ever. Same money but no stress. still get my hands dirty too tho. the best of both worlds. I should have done this a long time ago

I should have stayed at the rubber band plant, we got three paid days off for Turkey day and a week off paid for Christmas.

Now I'll be lucky if i get Christmas off.
