Years ago I worked on a Trane rooftop that used a sail switch that the inducer closed on inducer startup, then fired the burners.

yes hall effect! that is what i was thinking of!
Its either a centrifugal switch or a "hall effect" sensor depending on age of the unit ... http://sensors-actuators-info.blogsp...ct-sensor.html
Sun was going down when i finished , ran out of time to check it over more. I will advise them its old as dirt and needs additional looking over of the HX tomorrow.
