See my post for NC technicians lower down the page. We only do commercial work and they are mostly retail stores. We are a maintenance and service company with some installs as needed. Give me a call if you are interested in a better quality of life(I think it can be better than more pay but that's up to you to decide).

I moved from Ft.Lauderdale to Raleigh, NC last August. The change was amazing. You will only make a little more an hour but the cost of living is much cheaper. You will also have a yard instead of staring at your neighbors house. Selling your house should net you a nice profit considering how little land is left there. You will need to know heat which is my weak area as I'm a Florida boy too.All an all though this move was the best decision I've made.

GA is an at-will state so you can be fired from any job for any reason with no notice.

I am leaveing florida for better pay and a change of climate
I have live an worked here in florida or over 20 years and the only thing that has change is that more people relocate here and the wages stay the same!
florida is a wright to work state with no law's to protect the working man, most city and state jobs have a fire at will clause in there app.
also there is no major industry here and the population is mostly retired and the only industry is constrution!
you would think that the construction industry you would make some money---wrong!!!
every cut thr### b##### is giveing away his trade.
also there is a lot of gypsies down here, they come from al over stay one to two months and leave because of the wage.
the only companys that are makeing any money are crooks!
you know the guys--- the ones that offer a 29.99 cleaning and then ice pick the evap! and then get your cc number and max it out.
yes these are in business for one to two years then they close down and the next day they are open for business.
sorry about the spouting off ;-( over the years the cost of living has gone up and wages are going down and most companys don't want people with a lot of knowledge or experience. I think they feel that you might do a hostial take over or some thing!
I just want to work where the people are nice and your next door neighbor don't change from week to week.
