have you tried to check the suction pressure on these units?may have to jump out the fp2 to keep it running.sounds like low on charge or powerhead dead on txv.they had a bunch of bad powerheads for a while, back then.

If you know tell us. I'm a paid mechanic in all hvac/r. I work on them. I want to learn.

I also have a climate master genesis that was installed 10 yrs ago. I am having the same problem. I tried jumping the FP2 thermistor also, yea didn't work either. The only thing is that the compressor seems to keep running. There are 2 copper lines that get really hot and the one that the thermistors are on tends to frost up but I get no cold air. Ok so there are 2 reasons I am telling you all this. One is you asked about a schematic. My book has a wiring and a lay out schematic. will either of these help? Also if you figure anything out could you let me know so I can see if it is my problem also. Thanks

I am thinking the control board too. Does anyone have a board schematic? I would like to know if there is a current-limiting resistor in series with the thermistor, or whether another component is used for the same purpose. Could be a problem with that component.

It sounds like a control board.

    ClimateMaster Genesis Thermistor?

I have a climate master genesis about 10 years old. When cooling is turned on, the compressor starts and runs for about 2-3 minutes. Then the compressor stops, fan continues to run. Put it in test mode and got FP2 fault code 5.

After checking filter, etc., replaced Thermistor FP2. Problem stayed same.

Used Fluke infrared thermometer to check thermistor temp and shut off--about 50 degrees. Took thermistor off and placed in the fridge to check resistance at specific temp (used Fluke to check temp) all within normal range according to operating manual.

If I jump out thermistor, compressor continues to run. Help! I'm not an HVAC pro, but background in electronics and other electrical equipment. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
