    I love that they felt it was necessary to run the fresh air duct to the louver. Yeah, that made all the difference in that job.

    R410a system, no air flow, hot as h*ll, higher than normal head pressures (be replacing a compressor soon), exhaust gases in an enclosed space (does any one have a headache?)...looks good to me!

    How does this kind of garbage pass any inspection???

    Atleast they labeled the supply duct. Its not all that bad.

    I saw one in a building one time as well. they had a 20" flex on the condensor fan outlet running to a window.

    Does the condenser get rotted out from the flue gas? I usually see that when I come across a unit where the combustion gasses get trapped.

    Disconnected flue pipe tells me this was a split system before this handy work.

    I have seen that done with a old package york heatpump with a drain pan built under it for winter defrost water . It was installed for close to 25 years and worked but was a pain to work on . I eventually yanked it out and installed a split . And it was at a school office .

    Tell the engineer he needs a bigger rooftop on the outside of that building to keep the rooftop inside the building cool.

    Hmphhhhh its most likely that too much hot air is getting trapped in there and causing the units to mess up. They should open that up so it can get air.

    It's more like an enclosed roof cavity, but pretty much where the attic would be if there was one.

    Found this a a high school, 3 units in this room routinely gets over 100° in summer at this location. Yes this was an engineers idea.
