It's on the Gulf side about 3-4 hours south of Tampa. Approx 5 hours from Ocala and maybe 2 1/2 hours from Boca. It's a nice place to visit, not as large as Boca and all it's surrounding cities with quite a bit to do. In the winter the population pretty much quadruples with all of the rich folk coming down to their 2nd and 3rd homes. One of my former customers had bought a house on the beach for around 4.5 million and his wife didn't quite like it so he bought the place right next door, torn it down and built her what she wanted at a price tag of around 8 million. He has his house, she has hers. When I did the a/c check ups for them it would take me 1-2 days as there were between the both of them 19 3-5 ton Trane XL units.

Where is Naples in conjunction with the two places I will be? I thought Naples was on the Gulf side. Ocala is central and Boca Raton I believe is closer to Miami.

Well if you make as far south as Naples let me know beforehand and I can take you out for some snook or redfish fishing in the islands. I know a few spots inshore where there are some nice grouper and snapper spots.

    Well,

When my stepmother from Florida calls about this incentive I'll give her your email address so you can explain how much money she'll be saving.
Come to think of it, that might not be a good idea.

Stamas; that information on the 95% efficient furnaces was in my mail bin.

It appears that the feds have signed an energy bill that allows anyone having a furnace at least 95% efficient installed between December 31, 2005 and January 1, 2008 to have a tax credit of $150. An additional $50 tax credit will be allowed for 95% efficient furnaces with variable speed blowers.

Goodman will have a line of 95% efficient furnaces on the market before December to accomodate those who wish to take advantage of this tax deduction of up to $200.

    To put a 2% increase in furnace efficiency into perspective;

    * An average homeowner in Detroit can save up to $104 per year.

    * Nationally, a 2% increase will save over 830 million Btu's of gas per year.

    * Over 1.7 billion pounds of CO2 will not be released into the atmosphere.

    * Equivalent to taking 150,000 cars off of America's roads.

    * Like planting more then 237,000 acres of new forest.

How can anyone not take advantage of this?

Just renting the farmhouse in PA till I find out if this new venture is going to work out for me. Goodman has treated me well overall and is the kind of demanding company I like to work for. You do your job or you lose your job, for the most part it is that simple.

I came back to Goodman for the reason mentioned, but also because I do believe in the product and my boss is someone I have a lot of respect for. I don't know why I respect someone who would hire me....but.....

Simpleman, Robo left Goodman for a job in the big sandbox, but unfortunately the job didn't happen. So Robo took a vacation job on some island and now he's back at Goodman.

I sure hope they gave up some more money to get you back.
If not.. I'm up for starting a riot.

Not sure exactly what you are referring to. Unfortunately, contractors and branches sometimes get fliers that we lowly salesmaggots don't see until someone shoves one in our faces.

Are you referring to the Goodman condensing furnaces? I personally think they are one of the best on the market right now.

OK, I just checked the latest list. It looks like the AW and AC units are just going through some changes to meet the 13 SEER requirements. The AH (hydronic coil) models look to be history.

Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to discuss particulars on this in an open forum I keep my boss's blood pressure up too much as it is

What is really funny is that a similar thing happened a few years when back when a new VP got ticked over my supporting something he wanted me to support and started the paperwork for my dismissal. There were some strong hints that my demise was coming, but nothing happened. Then, at a national meeting I was told by one of my counterparts in another part of the country that he was told he would need to spend a couple of weeks in my region because I was being fired. When I was told who it was that put in for my dismissal it made sense...this guy was fired before my paperwork went through Those were some disorienting times during a large companies changing of the guard. Big business as usual I guess.

I went with York briefly. Then my old boss called me back when one of the higher ups that had issues with my.....ahem...independent nature ....got fired. Boss said; RoBo, I've been really pissed off ever since you quit without giving me the chance to fire you. So, whatdoyasay? Come on back and give me another shot, eh?

    How could I refuse?
