That was based on the fact that all that return duct was recently done by a "friend", and as previously stated the house is for sale. Plus he was wiring in a dryer circuit while I was looking at his system in amazement. So I'm thinking this situation holds little potential for me, because he certainly won't appreciate what we provide. Anyhow he pressed further, I gave him a number, he thought it was "absurd". I collected my diagnostic fee and left. Needless to say I haven't heard back and for that I am genuinely happy.
Ya see my Buddy and watch The Home Improvement Channel and who got ourself a Home Depot Credit Card and Did it ourself. So What ya the guys, pretty cool. Next weekend I going to to my own Brain surgery.

One in a million sperm and that one had to make it. The guy that done that job should be burned at the stake with matches till he is well done. People like that really screw the good guys. Each man should be licensed and equipment and parts sold only to a licensed person. Then they could track these jobs. Just venting we seem to see jobs like this at least once a week. Two weeks ago had a landlord call to fix a boiler that a hack had been repairing for 4 yrs said they had a burning smell. Wish i had been allowed to take pictures this guy (Al-qaida look a like) blew up when I came in with a camera. Two 140,000 input boilers both 6" flues, two 30 gallon HWHs 3" flue, vented in a 6" smoke pipe through a combustible ceiling into the back of an open fireplace. The real kicker was he had a 6" duct booster fan in the pipe as a draft inducer. Everything wired in brown zip cord. Didn't want to pay to have it fixed right and told me to leave his property. As I was getting in my truck I swore that I heard smoke detectors going off and the FD was called to the scene. Power Company cut electric off at the pole and locked out the gas meters. Landlord now needs a hand truck to carry the violations to court. It feels good to be an as**ole sometimes. We did not get the repair job but another licensed company did and no one died. Except the George Washingtons in the landlords wallet they sure will bite the dust. LOL.

Ran into this gem yesterday Original call was for blower motor rattles, and has poor airflow. House is for sale and homeowner wanted us to replace the motor to improve air flow. There is a total of 3 supplies, 2 - 6's and the pièce de résistance a 5" split with a tee right off the plenum and then split yet again by another tee to 2 more 5's. And yes indeed that is an aluminum dryer vent 90 off of the draft diverter going into type b vent that is ran backwards all the way to the chimney. The blower motor was completely caked with dirt as well as the coil. I informed him that the last thing he needed was a new blower motor.
