I have a Associate degree in HVACR and have been in the hvacr industry` for ten years but have only been around controls at our schools for 15 months and i didn't know where to start so this is why i ask you guys... Thanks again

That sounds like a much different situation than what we had. Before Friday there was no hint of what was on the test. I think there was something like 12 pages of instructions.

I agree with the statement about being sure to do the CBT before going. That really made a big difference for me.

Unless you have a decent amount of control experience I would say that starting with Tridium might be like learning how to swim by 'jumping into the deep end of the pool'. Almost everything on the test is covered in the class so if you can keep pace with the class the test should be manageable.

Funny story, Tridium messed up the PO and when I got there (in LA) we had to figure out what happened. It was after lunch before I got into class and I was number 13. They only do 12 so I had no controls to work with. The next day I brought in my own and away I went. I gave Gerard a boolean to enum block and it helped. The only reason he graded me in class was because it was my equipment, no back up. By the way every body builds the test the afternoon be fore.

Went to San Ramon, CA with Gerard teaching... EXCELLENT!
Make sure you do the CBT BEFORE arriving or you are a day behind on the first day!

I went in 2001, very good class. I remember my test taking about 8 hours, it was tough. Almost as tough as my NICET Level II test.

Went to Richmond as well. I think it is a must.

Damn!!!! I think the test took me almost 9 hrs. Got a real good score though.

I also went to Richmond, Gerard Huff taught my class. He made the class fun but as the post above said, the week is very intense.

I went to Richmond about four years ago. Thats where I would go, you will get to meet alot of the Tridium guys there.

Was in Richmond in November. I would recommend it. You will be taught a lot and be lucky if you remember half of it. Be sure you go with your head screwed on tight. Its an intense week.
