    Someone probably stripped the insulataion off the wire , and cut into the wire when it was installed,,,,Good thing you caught it!

    Thats code RIGHT?

    Found this in the cieling when I was tracing back the wire to see where condenser unit was fed from. Under the "junction box" in the drop ceiling I found a 1' piece of wire that was burned and cut off. That must be why they had to make the connection there.
