Yes sir that was my feeling about a few things he had to say and or did yesterday.

Not getting into his butt about it… there is one thing he did that will do nothing but to stir the panic. That would be the emergency measure document he signed to guard against price gouging. I personally feel that if left alone the free market would regulate the gas commodity.

How? Thanks for asking! If you let the price raise due to supply and demand there would be no panic buying if for nothing else due to the high price. There is never enough gas in the Atlanta area to fill everyone’s tank at once, just an average 5 day supply of normal usage. Pardue added to this panic buying with his harp on how he would fine those who “stick it to ya”. That is wrong thinking.

If you had to fill up at 6 bucks a gallon you would think about getting a full tank this time and you certainly wouldn’t go home to get grannies car and little sister Sara’s car and all of your empty gas cans and return. Also these guys that jump up prices with the supply and demand gouging will certainly be paid back in the long run because of the bridges they burned with their regular customers. Perdue has to see further than the length of his nose and not react to panic. That was moronic on his part.

Get it? The free market place can and will regulate prices accordingly. There is no politician, not even the President that can control market pricing better than Capitalism Free Market Plan. Supply and demand encourage pricing but supply is not depleted.

Sorry if this sounds like it should be in ARP. I don't want this thread to have this slant but I do want to extend my thoughts for everyone to go about their normal duties and gain strength from those around them. Be strong when you must and be flexible so all will see they can gather strength from you.

Lusker, our governor yesterday sure did not help. He single handedly destroyed the tourist industry for a few weeks . People here are pissed.

Good news will be blended with the bad. Just look more closely...

Gas station owners in Atlanta are re-opening their doors and actually have gas. Some owners decided to shut down operations due to the panic and conserve what gas they had for other in need today.

See... just one thing at a time and be smart. Think your way through each step and be strong.

Life cycles means just that. Life has its high points and low points. When we, as person or a country, are in a low point you just have to stop and take a deep breath. Make an accessment of this "horrible" situation that we are in. You will always find some positives in any worse situation. Grab the positives and run with it. Before long you are on the high point again.

Swim to the bottom of a swimming pool. Not a good place to be under 8ft of water. But if you just relax and let nature take its course, you will pop up to the surface.

IMHO... it is our strength that bonds us together in times of catastrophic need. This bonding together keeps us from being alone during a tragedy. No one here is alone in his/her fight to maintain a constant relationship with their lives and jobs. People are suffering in the storm areas and if we don’t do business as usual there will be people suffering here. Prepare yourself for this situation to get much worse before it gets better.

We all will feel the pinch of the economy during and long after a national situation. The ugly magnitude of the effect will be far reaching. You will be fine if you keep your focus on your social circle and business at hand.

As terrible as it seems, as horrible as the damage from Katrina, as decimated as the victims of the storm are life still goes on for them, you and me. Again, No one is alone in this and we draw strength from each other in these times. Try to relax and plan your days one day at a time for your family and customers. One day at a time...one thing at a time and plan smartly and justly.

So....Take a deep breath and gather your strength and be strong for thoes around you. If you can’t give your time or donations to these people then pay their toll with a prayer everyday.
