not only there is no disconnect, the liquid line is ran inside the insulation of the suction line.

Alberta... Never seen a goodman furnace here yet... been totin' the tools for 20 years... Hmmm. I DO, however, have a buddy named Bill Goodman... but that's a different matter. Usually, Trane, Lennox, Carrier, Tempstar/Heil, The odd Amana, Rhuud, and York in the A/C world here (Lloydminster) all of the above for furnaces, but there are a ton of Miller, ICG, Olsen, and Clare furnaces here.

Where in Canada are you?? We have tonnes of them in my area in Ontario. Installed three A/C's and a furnace so far this year. Pretty much the same as a Tappan.

Oh and as far as it being undercharged goes I don't need to be EPA certified and have a gauge set to be able to tell that because you can hear the flash gas going through the orifice from across the building, the suction line stays so warm it never produces any condensation, and the celing vents blow only slightly cool air.

It's not a heatpump just straight cool with an air handler. The heat is supplied by a boiler and baseboard radiators with an expansion tank and 1 circ pump no zoning. The A/C has a digital t-stat and the heat still has the old round mercury one.

Oh, and Payson... I DREAM of 100 degree days!!! I'm tired of looking at Polar Bears... Igloos and all that... I turn on my Furnace to warm the house up enough in the Summer... just so the Air Conditioning will come on!

Yes it's code to have a disconnect.
That's the ONE THING you can usually count a INSPECTOR (if it was inspected) to catch.

Also, if that's a HEAT PUMP make sure to seperate those outdoor capillary tubes and unless it's a late 2003 or newer air handler, JUNK the stack relay and install a FAN MANAGER or other type of MAGNETIC fan relay.
The cap tubes rub holes in each other causing a leak and the stack relays go intermittant in the new units all the time here and prevent the ID blower from running.

Here in Phoenix it's summer time already! So far I'm changing out about 5 stack relays a WEEK!
Cap tubes every other week or so but I'm sure that will pick up in a few more weeks when it stays above 100 degrees all day!

The disconnect would be correct, and yes it is a goodman. This is the first time I've seen a condensing unit installed without a disconnect. Is that even to code? Oh well even though I am not a tech I could add a fused disconnect easily if I wanted to. The A coil isn't right on the other side of the wall. The unit is also undercharged.

it's a goodman,(nordyne will at least put a name on their units)-no disconnect,a-coil is probably on other side of wall-probably didn't have to go up with line-set...just drill a new hole down low?

    yep it's a goodman.

    I don't see a disconnect.

I need a close up to see anything else

It's a Goodman product. Besides the disconnect, what else is there?

Looks like a Nordyne, my guess is to small a line set? The picture is blurry.

by the way the unpainted area behind the unit is where the rusted out swamp cooler was situated.
