    Call Donaldson
    The controller must be damaged.
It is to keep the injection of the hot gas.

Is your chilled water pump running? Call Donaldson they will help you try to fix it and even send you parts or at least they will for xerox printing press customers.

Well the problem is your not a tech and I'm not in front of the chiller, you need to call ip the manufacturer and see who their rep is or if they have a factory guy come out..... Or find a company who is farmiliar with your type of chiller.

Sounds like hot gas bypass and fans frequency drive are trying to keep your head pressure up...... Are you running glycol? 26 degrees C is like 78 degrees F right? And your getting a freeze alarm... Humm. I assume you think the gas is fully filled because of a full sight glass.....
I will try to answer your quastions:
    - about the sound it is like hot gas bypass, but the fan don't make any sound because its runing at very low speed.
    - glycol, I don't think so, we use a normal distilled water.
    - I didn't understand the point with the temperatures.
    - yes we get the freeze alarm A1
    - I checked that the gas is full with an technician and not throgh a sight glass, because there is no sight glass!

but what i don't untill this moment not realize is, what is the relationship between the compressor and it's sound with the freeze alarm ???? where is the problem exactly, in the compressor, chiller unit fan, which not running well.... !??!?!?!?!

what do you mean with "reset the high pressure switch"? we didn't touch any switches inside the unit

Problem with the Ultracool chiller unit (Denaldson)

    Hi all,
We have the ultracool water chiller from Donaldson (serial number 49964) to cool a laser machine (machine and chiller unit are new, about 5 months). now the water will not be adequately cooled and once the temperature exceeds the 26 °C level the water chiller gives the error A1.

I tried the solutions about error A1 , which described in the manual. But it didn't fix it. I ensure that the water in the tank and in the pipes was not frozen, and the water circuit was not blocked throw any particles. I let also to check the Freon gas, but we didn't indicate any problems with it, and the gas is fully filled.

What we recently noticed, that the fan at the top of the chiller unit doesn't work at the full speed any more. It work at a very low speed and after maybe 2 min, the fan stops and we hear a sound for 1 min. (perhaps the sound came from the compressor or from the radiator, I don’t really know). After this 1 min. the sound stops and the fun works at a very low speed. This is of course not normal because the fan has worked before this error at the highest speed, but now it doesn't any more.
So how can I fix this problem, if it depends on the fan? Or whatever the cause is….

Thank you very much for taking time

    Jebril
