Anyway- does anyone know of a manufacturer of a puller to lift the blade say-18 inches. If I can fix this my life will be in balance- for this week-Thanks guys

You may want to see if that actually "pulls off." Most likely, with the problems you are having, it doesn't simply pull off. Check this link, if remember the ml number, click on enter site....
