I think I will need to be on this team in order to edit typographical, grammatical and spelling errors for the "research" reports.

May I assume that all travel expenses are to be paid by the funding?

I suppose it wouldn't have been that concerning if I had known what it was. I had felt a very mild tremor in Baltimore a few years ago, but this was a lot more then that was. It was also confusing at first, like when the car next to you starts moving and you think it is you that is moving. At first, I thought it was me vibrating until I heard the cabinets and windows shaking.

I was on a roof above the gym of a school in Burlington, NJ. I thought a dump truck back into the building at first. Then It lasted too long for that idea. What an experience.

I was driving from center city out to Bryn Mawr. Never felt a thing.

My dad in Pottstown said he didn't notice anything.

In southern NJ this afternoon. Thought the 4 story building I was in might come down.

This was my first quake. My desk sort of wobbled in front of me and I was trying to figure out what was loose when the floor and walls starting swaying too. Several of us wandered into the hallway and decided to get out of the building.

I ran around to the other side where My painter was working in a 60' boom painting trim. I thought he might have ran the lift into the building. I didn't realize it was an earthquake until I saw a guy I know that works in the basement. He said his floor was shaking too.

I've got two calls of cracked masonry in two different buildings. Checked one out this afternoon, it turned out to be old damage. I'll see the other tomorrow morning.

I was at Edinboro University near Erie PA today. We felt it.

Some glass damage occurred in buildings in Philly, which is further away then I am. They evacuated some buildings in New York City which is twice as far as I am.

We had a 5.0 last June up this way that was felt down into PA. Todays in PA was reportedly felt in Toronto and parts of Eastern Ontario.

When you live on the West Coast you become an expert in them. There are all types of earthquakes, shallow and deep and both. Sometimes you get moved up and down, sometimes back and forth. Sometimes both and those are the worst. Some start with a cracking noise, mainly the shallow ones. And some start with a very slight motion that get you sea sick immediately and then all crap breaks loose.

Looks like I am about 160 miles from the epicenter of a 5.9 earthquake in Virginia. Pittsburgh is not much further, but there are mountains between you and the epicenter.

Lancaster Co. PA earthquake

We just had an earthquake in Lancaster county PA that rocked my house quite a bit for about a minute. Anyone else in the PA area experience this?

We live just southwest of the city of Lancaster and my wife works just northeast of the city. She said they felt it too, but doesn't seem to be as much as it hit where I am.

That was a very unerving feeling.
