    Boyd + Duane =Jerks

Yes I do think they are jerks!Boyd talks about respect but he doesn't show any to his employees! And the deal of him taking his guys to a gocart track to let off some steam? Give me a break!I'll bet they weren't on the clock! He probally wanted to clear his gilty conscience.I worked for a ratbastard like that once;I could have worked for free for this guy and he would have still complained!I'm surprised they haven'tbeen raided by calosha for using grinders w/o eye protection for instances. As for duane I think celebrity has swollen his head. He's got "little man with a big job" syndrome, just glad I don't have to work for him. Every once in a while I have to remind my boss that this a job not a life style! Thanks for letting me rant.

Last night Boyd wants a 42 Woodie built in 7 weeks. Did you see the look on Charlie and Duanes faces when he said that?

Mike refused to work weekends....I don't blame him.

What kind of quality is that?

    Chad, No offense. But.

I mean you make it sound like the guy was in deep trouble.

Read the article, I can completely understand this. Sucks he's gotten a bad rap for that.

I love those two shows myself. Love em. It might be edited to the hilt, and some of the main ideas of the shows might be a little to TV, but the arguements, the way guys do this, that. I beleive it's real. And it's great.

Who said raided? What did he get raided for??

I can't watch AHR, I want everyone ot quit on the Boyd guy, but I'd watch to see bluebaer get canned, he needed it. Shows like that piss me off people being jerks to each other. That and the way the employees are such slackers showing up whenever they feel like it,etc.

Hey mattm, also the gasoline? My Dad is my best friend. We do alot together, except last year, 500 hours overtime. I have a good family thanks to him.

I was watching AHR the other day and they pulled a 65' GT Mustang from a barn and it started right up after getting it out of the barn. It was covered with old blankets and dirt and hay like it had been in there for several years, how in the hell could that battery still have juice to start that car and I'm sure the gas was still good.

    Orange County Choppers:

The best shows are the ones that Mikey makes a really
sensitve,(read funny) comment to his dad. An example would be the show about Pauly arriving late for the Easter egg hunt. The old man is his doing his usual ranting and Mikey suggest's that he (the old man) should show some compassion for Pauly.

Part of the appeal of Orange County Choppers

is the fights. The Boyd crew is just trying to fit in. I love hot rods, but I think all them hot rod shows are lame. And the "we have to work 24/7 because of the deadline" is BS. I guarantee if I called Boyd and said I need a car in 6 weeks he'd just laugh and say "Maybe next February!!!!" All for the show.

Although i kind of like American hot rod Boyd and Duane are both jerks. I know that some of it is set up and with editing they maybe getting a raw deal but there still jerks. Boyd is insensitive to his employees needs and draws to many strange conclutions and then huffs and puffs. Duane is just a downright jerk with no people skills and i believe only a marginal skill level. These short comings are masked by his belligerent manners. threatening workers with being fired or beatings is nuts, learn your workers needs and feed into them. Then you can draw out of them what you need, also pitch in and do it in a positive way. Not you screw up now i have to make it right. The Bluebear thing had to be a set up, i just can't believe thats how they opperate. And duane with the intern thats the reaction of a jackass worried about someone learning then taking his job.I think the rest of the guys are OK
