This conversation gave us both a laugh.

HO: My air conditioner isn't working. My sister's husband's uncle said that it probably needs freon. You do air conditioning right?

Benncool: Yes we do air conditioning.

HO: I don't mean like putting in ductwork. Like do you have gauges and the hoses.

Benncool: Yes we have all of that.

HO: So, then, you do know how to charge? (he was thinking refrigerant)

Benncool: Yes sir, We, CERTIANLY DO know how to "charge". I have a pencil and an adding machine. (I was thinking money)

I got into a little trouble when tightwade PIA #1 told somebody else about me. I told the reffered HO "I do not do work for people reffered by a man that owes me money." PIA #1 calls to complain. So I say "Sue me tightwade." and hang up.
He started saying all kinds of crap about me.

I just say it will be next week before I can get there. Then the day after I was supposed to show up, I apologize and reschedule for 2 weeks later. I never do show up.

Guess they thought things got cheaper this year? Apparently they haven't been to the gas station lately.

Last August I gave this light-in-the-loafers PIA a price to install central AC in his condo. This week he called and said that he finally got permission form the condo association. "Has the price increased and when can you do it?"

benncool: "Yes 7% and Aug 10th."

Don't you love it when "Pain in the a$$" customers give your phone number to new "Pain in the a$$" customers with chicken crap problems and the up front pricing questions? Not to mention it is 90+ degrees out!

"Ah, yeah. Mr Smith gave me your name and I was wondering how soon you can come over and move a thermostat."

Why do you want to move the thermostat?

"Because it is running all the time."

Well that may be another problem.

"Well my son-in-law said that it may be the thermostat and I would like you to tell me how much it would cost and how soon you could do it.Blah blah blah "

    Snap!

Opsh, battery fell out of cell phone, as I was thinking........

    Ask your son-in-law.
