I'm not sure if it's acceptable to local code departments. That would be something you would need to take up with your officials. Around these parts they don't ask. A majority of contractors don't do them. Also most homeowners don't know about them. When I mention it I sometimes get the look like I'm a snake oil salesman.

Is the print out acceptable to local code departments? Is this based on Manual J 8th edition? or 7th?

Looking closer, it looks pretty good and all the ratings are excellent.

    I have a Vizio Tablet that's Android.
If you want something that looks great printed I would suggest using a template and then populate the data into it manually. The stuff I pasted in lost all of it's formatting through my phone. I'll edit it from this desktop now.

I did a room load calc for the same job and it came out to 28000 BTU roughly. Its stored on the tablet at home.

I did email the developer and they are looking at developing cloud storage to store project files.

You can email the report and then it can be printed out. It has graphs also. If you do a room calc it does give the cfm per room. I have a block calc done. I will try and upload here.

I used it and it came out to be close to the same load calc I did in wrightsoft. So it's not bad. It's just a pain in the a$$ to use on a little phone. I guess it could be cool on a tablet but I would just get the wrightsoft mobile consultant.

    HVAC Load-Calc app by Powertrade

I just downloaded this app from the Android Marketplace. I've done a load calculation already and it took a little getting used to on adding loads. Commercial Calc for the desktop was much easier, but I do like the addition of partition walls on this app.

Do any of you that have used it have any tips?
