A cleanout would be nice, but almost all the chimneys I see have no cleanout, and cannot be insatlled in many cases. There's 2' to bottom of flue from smoke pipe, so it would take a lot of soot to block the flue, and we pull the pipe during flue cleaning, anyway.
The damper is close as possible, since the bacharach thermometer cannot be in line of sight with hx, but around the bend in ell.

FYI, the barometric damper is supposed to be located as close to the appliance collar as possible. Also, where is the code required cleanout? Looks like it got bricked up. You just might meet the 18 inch clearance off the chimney connector pipe. If that pipe is greater than 6 inch, it must be 24 gauge. What is the sidewall clearance to that combustible wall?

Looks nice, Bet they are supprised how well it heats. That oil bill will drop 20%+. didn't have much space to work with. Hows your back? Nice to see red clay in a pic.

Am I not seeing the barometric damper on the flue breeching? (oops someone already said that)

thats blue block it gets everywhere and it is fun to get off

One of my colleagues uses the blue form of pipe dope. Works well for him, not sure if it works better than your standard rector-seal. I do know that it costs more though. It seems to go on a lot cleaner too. Hmm, maybe I just convinced myself to start using it.

That's not leak lock. We use it very very expensive but good. Almost the same color though. Cant think of the name of it. It is a pain to get off your skin, just like leak lock.

The pipe is tilted to the back in order to clear the header, there is a regulator on the left side of pipe just before it goes in thimble, it blends in with the pipe. The pic is a bit fuzzy.
I believe it is leak lock- little silver can w/brush on cap.

Also flue pipe looks off kilter and the damper is missing. Otherwise looks like a fine install in a tight space.

Put this in a few weeks ago. Had to pull out old through door behind boiler and slide new in over framed opening and baseboard.
New boiler definately was cranking out heat- the new paint started to blister off pipes after 15 minutes, cheap paint, I guess.
