    I know you guys up North tend to do things different, but here the norm is to build a platform for the equipment in the attic. We never had vibration problems. I think the wood dampens the viration a little. If vibration was a problem vibration isolaters would be used.

    Its a 80% vs with a r/a chase you barely can here it in the living area.

    There is a drain on the emergency pan you can't see it in the pictures. It's on the backside.

    We form and pour the slabs ourselves. I don't like the plastic ones.

    nice install, looks good. are you not worried about noise or vibrations since the unit is set on the ceiling joists and not hung from the roof joists ?

    We install float switches, but we also run a drain line from the pan to the outside.

    I like that permanent pad for the OD unit.

    That pvc drain looks like it might get crushed when servicing the unit though.

    I've never seen that type of venting before,almost resembles a liner.

    Yes it is double wall. It has also been approved here in LA.

    It cost about half the cost of using 3 adjustable 90's.

    There great for retrofit.
