    Thanks for the welcome.
I couldn't open the link in post # 28, due to not being a Pro Member.
I'll keep waiting, with hopes of its return.

JP is correct. The upgrade caused the EF Challenge Quiz software to become inoperative, so in anticipation of such a probability, we have safety stored all the quiz questions in a Hellmann's mayonnaise jar on my back porch until such time we can get a suitable, new quiz program which will work with the current site software.

Unfortunately, the records of those who have taken the quizzes in the past are inaccessible. When we get a new quiz back, we will have to start from the git go.

Here's a link to an announcement about the quiz no longer working: http://hvac-talk.com/vbb/showthread....e-EF-Challenge

I am new to hvac talk and am looking forward to getting the posts up to move into the pro-status. Looks like some great info at that level for any skill or experience level in this field. Started in residential service in mid 80's and then been in and out of hvac until this year.

    Cool, Ice.

There are always many answers to Supermarket Questions, this quiz correctly portrays that ( but then again refrigeration service in general is like that across the board) I would personally rather work on a rack than a self contained unit. My day typically involves advising techs of various levels on what to look for. #1 reply from my end " Your there I'm not...you tell me what's wrong.

#2-The answer should be a,b and d. seen many a faulty defrost timer (gang clock) causing multiple system ice ups.

#4- The answer cannot be all of the above as a rack that is "out of gas" would not short cycle, if it was low on gas it would short cycle.
