There's not a chance in understanding.

10 years ago my wife decides it's time to get rid of the 87' Tarus wagon. Great running and dependable but starting to rust. She had 8 grand to spend on a car. I started research and found a 72' convertable Cutlass w/air and a 70 Skylark GS stage II w/air in the budget. I tried to explain how they will serve her well, drive great, and actually gain in value. Her only words were "I want a new car". She goes and buys a new Corsica and regretted it after a few years.

So now it's time to get rid of the Corsica. I don't bother because for the last 2 years all she says is "I want a Blazer" I think "cool" I start showing her some nice pre 80's K5's.......Nope...."I want a new one"

    The cycle repeats itself.

Now she has a new Blazer and worries about it flipping over.

    Never marry an Italian.

This is undoubtedly the right answer if I want breakfast in the morning...But I can probably get to the restaurant with an SRT10...Now that would be nice.

You used "understand" and "her" in the same sentence.

Stop trying to understand and say "Yes, dear."

    Repeat as needed.

She (the wife) caught a glimps of the new Dodge Charger on a morning TV show.
    She says "I like that".
"What about the 300 or the Magnum?"
    "Nah, They're ugly"
(?Blank stare?) I say, "But the Charger's grill looks like the pick-up truck" (SRT-10 is nice! Seen the yellow one yet? One of my customers has a 2004 limited edition silver one...whoa!! Guinness World Book of Records!!).
"Still better looking than that 300 or 3000 or whatever they call it."
(In truth, she actually wants a Mini convertible.)
    Any preferences?
