I may have to consult an attorney.

Oh, in a perfect world, thieves would be thieves and and envy and pride would not prevail. But alas, we do not live in a perfect world. Envy does exist and envy creates want. Want becomes desire and desire becomes justification. Not that any of this has anything to do with the circumstances surrounding timebuilders incident, but had timebuilder made it easy to steal his van, he would have been unknowingly and unwantingly been feeding into the justification of the thief who desired what timebuilder had. Easy pickings. Low hanging fruit. There for the taking.
Careless does not equal a gift. My wife was suprised that i left money laying around my house even when my Sons friends come over and are in the house when we arent at times. First of all every one of them knows exactly what would happen if anything was missing, second they are good people. Everyone is tempted to do things that are wrong, the ones who resist and have a conciense do not do those things and become better people because of it. Anyone else deserves exactly what they deserve. Then again if people would raise their kids most of this wouldnt happen. I have returned thousands of dollars found in gas station rest room from people on their way to florida, they were overjoyed. Just because they were careless does not make that money mine. Call it Karma, or reaping what you sow, i prefer what all the farmers told me growing up. What comes around goes around.
Okay. So its not carelessness its you left the door open and unlock on purpose.

After reading the first post i didnt say anything, after the other to i gotta add. You must steal alot of shift. It is moronic to even allude that just because something can be stole its the owners fault. In that case home break ins are totally fine since all the normally is are a few pesky locks. And everybody keep all their best shift in their house. Then again what can i expect from a society that banned firearms and has had a crime explosion over the last few years. Stealing is wrong period and the only person to blame is the thief.

Being honest does not mean he is not an opportunist being opportunist doesn't mean he is dis-honest. "Kleptomaniac". So if every scumbag thief feigns it there would be more asylums springing up instead of jail houses.

Sorry about the truck TB
"Lead us not into temptation." I don't see where timebuilder did this, but most of us do. Now, if I'd said the heck with that customer, and gotten into the truck and driven away, I might not be spending most of this weekend looking up prices for all the stuff that was on that truck. Then again, I could have been found dead in an empty parking space, too. So, you never know. I guess that trumpet call wasn't mine this time.
It just my tiny little humble honest earnest opinion about stolen stuff **** like that. Alright then I'll stfu next time.

I've been responsible for four peoples actions. Myself and my three kids. Two are now 18 or older. They aren't theifs. I've got 12 more years to teach my youngest how to be a responsible member of society. Then I'm responsible only for myself. I live in a small town where people leave houses unlocked and keys in the ignition. That is how our parent raised us, to be honest and respectful of other people and their property. We have our turds here also but it's not due to us leaving an opertunity. Their parent where turds, their grandparent where turds, and I suspect their ancesters where turds aswell.
Its just my own opinion about things that got stolen... Due to carelessness? Its like leaving a cupboard open and unattended...

So by removing temptations you are actually helping others to avoid becoming a criminal. 1 count of promising good soul. ^5 Possible solution is to report a lost and found and hopefully, for an appropriate reward. So best solution is don't leave temptation around. I don't think so. I'm not making a crimal by leaving keys in my truck. It's not my fault someone takes something that does not belong to them.

So best solution is don't leave temptation around. I'm trying to decide how this fits into the thread. Is it too "tempting" to park a locked truck in a lot next to a mall for 90 seconds? Now, an unlocked truck running with keys in the ignition? Yes, that would be "temptation."
