    This "quality" of work is rampant throughout the US in residential work. I've worked for bosses who would have told the guy that next time he needs to make sure there is more tape wrapped around the terminals or to just make sure it hangs in dead space off the wires so it won't rub.

    How do these guys have jobs and who pays for the cap that THEY fryed by inproper install?

    I would not have a job if I did that. I wouldn't wanna work with guys that worked like that and if I did find out we would chirp him till he either smartend up or quit.

    I see this all the time and short wires is not an excuse.....you can ADD wire to reach the panel.

    Yeah, but then there's a lot of work to put the cap in the strap and tighten it down.

    Go on service call behind a fellow tech that was there a couple times for a condenser breaker tripping. Bad part is the wires were long enough to reach factory cap mount.
