and so far what do you think of them?

I also found it odd that just the 100S (Modbus wi-fi) are available online. We do have a few of the basic Shark 100's throughout the facility (on generators, and solar inverters), but they were not purchased by us, but by vendors.

I was trying to avoid purchasing the modbus license for just a few devices (which would cost more than the converter/gateway would). In the end, it looks like we've found an existing low voltage conduit path from the starters to the controls, so we may not need to go that route anyways, and can simply get the native bacnet meters (Shark 100B).

I think I looked at Veris, but they didn't have anything that would fit in a standard meter opening (other than the very expensive H84xx series units). They also don't offer a wireless solution (ridiculous that I need to go wireless in a chiller room, but it would add 6-8 months of OSHPD review to the project to hang some 1/2 conduit through the room to the starter cabinets - and people wonder why healthcare is so expensive)...
You may want to look at Veris. I am doing a project now using their meters on a Modbus integration. I am using the E50C2. There are several models to choose from. Modbus and BACnet are standard with these meters. They will be coming out with a Lon version in the near future. They offer additional gateways if you are going to use Modbus TCP or BACnet IP. For stand-alone applications without a BMS, these meters have their own data logging capability. Here is a link to the product data sheet of the model I am using. There is a chart on page 2 of the different options. http://www.veris.com/docs/Datasheets/e5x_d02121.pdf
MODBUS-TCP to BACNET/IP Any recommendations on a protocol gateway for converting a few MODBUS TCP points to BACNet IP on the same physical network? Here's the situation: We are wanting to start doing some power monitoring of some loads throughout our old central plant (initially the 5 large chillers). We will be getting a BacNET client license shortly for our BMS (Honeywell EBI 310). Most power meters we've found, than will fit in a standard ANSI or DIN meter space, are all Modbus based. The only decent Bacnet one we've found is the Shark 100B, which does speak Bacnet IP. The issue is connecting up a physical network is going to be a nightmare, so we are wanting to instead go wireless with it. The only wireless meters I've found that would work are the Shark 100S, which is ModBus TCP over wifi. The options then become, either purchasing yet another interface license for the EBI server, or translate the very minimal number of concerned points to bacnet via a gateway/translater. (It would seem this is even something that could run in software on the server, if such a software exists). Any ideas?
