    My Co takes care of about 3-4 properties on Ocracoke Island and we got word today that they had around 3-4 feet inside of the buildings,one of them was just installed this summer

    It looks like a mess up there. One of the worst storms in a while. All I heard moving to Florida from my friends was what if you get hit by a hurricane, and now it hits up North. Kinda weird. I do hope everyone is safe and was prepared.

    Wife just got home. Looked through all the pictures from people on facebook. OBX is effed up big time.

    I feel for the landfall area Sandy actually hit.

    Also in from the Town of Kitty Hawk: The Kitty Hawk Police department reports that all parts of NC Highway 12 and all roads in between NC 12 and Highway 158 in the Town of Kitty Hawk are closed. Roads are impassable due to 2 to 4 feet of flood water, debris, sand and road damage. Everyone is advised to avoid this area and motorists need to utilize alternative routes.

    Rescues are still going on in the Kitty Hawk/Lindbergh Area in between the Highways. The water in the area is 5' or higher, with overwash slapping at many of the houses.
