I will change both parts next week

as a set....if it 10 years old it is overdue anyway.....

Temp controller board had power going to it but the contact was
open. I jumped that contact and the pilol came on then the main
burner followed.

do you always change the controller board and temp controller as a set?

Or is there a way to check each component

check for 24 volts going into your ignition module. If 24 volts is present, you have a failed module (usual suspect) If no 24 volts, check for incoming power to temp controller (should be line voltage, 110 or 240) If correct voltage is present, check the relay on board see if it closes when oven calls for heat. If the relay does not respond I would change the temp controller, probe and board as a set. The probe on my truck showed me 70 ohms @ approx 90 degrees (wrapped it in my hand for a couple minutes) so yours should be within range. Hope this helps

Its electronic ignition about 10years old.

complaint. No pilot ignition
I checked it out and found tempreture control board contact open.

How do I determine which is bad
1) Temp controller board
2)Temp controll (adjustable resistor )
3) Tempreture probe ( 54 ohms ) 80-90 degrees

Its been a long time since I worked on one
