    judging from the old school water softner in the back ground and the second line capped off right next to it. it was either relocated, or that was the old location for the water heater.

    Was Capt Queeg running that place?

    I've (head) rung a few valve wheels myself, but never heard of hard hats in a boiler room.

    Maybe hanging a pc rope or chain off it would keep in field of vision even when looking down.

    Plant Maintenance. I spent 5 years in that role. Sometimes we would do things like that, quick and easy. It was in Our House, Our Way!

    I talked to one of the guys that has worked here forever and they said the water heater used to sit there. When they moved it, that was the lazy way out.

    I like 10x10 beams better, I had one last week in a hallway that for some reason I bashed my head twice on it, second time I bleed and almost lost my cool in a bad way.
