has anyone, ever found a resume here? ever?

so why is it that, it says resume posting under job , discussion? yet no one does?
    whats the incentive?
dont tell me finding a job?
    Boss, wont even reply, lol

    BOSS

is it possible that, resumes could be posted here?
to have an employer registration view only link, that members registered as employers or business owners could view, and another link for employees to simply cut and paste a resume, they already have to post.
Alot, of the other sites usually over-email the employer and the employers, soon they stop checking their emails, due to overwhelming them with too many. too time consuming. This way they can match, the resume with the skills, needed for the right job!
maybe at the least in the classifieds? if at all possible?
    just a thought?

I will not disagree with you there, I have heard it all, from "oh we will get you a $2.00 raise at your 30 day review" to "we have lots of opportunities for advancement." I thought I was being fed another bunch of hooey when I came to my current employer, but as it turns out, one year later and I was put into a service manager position. I do have the responsibility of hiring new techs, and remember all those empty promises, so I shoot straight about the work here.

    who cares
Not trying to be mean or negative. It has been my exoerience in the past that service managers and owners will lie or over state what the will do for you or what their exoectations are. I'm not a job hopper. Only on my fourth HVAC job since I started in 1977.

i have 10 superstars, looking for ten more. isitfixesdyet is in a homeless shelter, as a tech turned manager, i cant risk it. i have "superstars" scheduled for interviews every day, half dont show, then we have the drug test, background check, dmv report. it isnt a puzzle. is it?

Okay, sounds to me like someone pissed in your Wheaties. Seams like no-matter who says something, you always have something negative to say in return. I never said anything about myself. To set the record straight....sure I told my share of whoppers, but when it came to my abilities as a tech, honesty was always the safest policy. It only took once getting caught telling a fib about EMS controls to realize that an extra buck wasn't worth not being trusted and possibly getting fired over. Also...there were several guys I thought I was better than, still do...but I still don't know it all, have to refer to manuals, call tech support, and look at the good old modern refrigeration book from time to time, hell, if none of that cuts it I call my boss!! Imagine that!! Now that you have gotten the response that you were looking for, how about I try to get a response....Do you know how to finish a thought? Do you talk that kind of gibberish to everyone?

you did'nt put all your eggs in one basket?
sounds like the expression, if you want a job done right , you might have to do it yourself?
and out of 14 yrs of service you never lied, not even 50% of those look at how bad he is and look at how good i am years?
personally i wouldnt get you wrong, theres some crazy stuff that happens, especially to techs.
if thats shocking out of 14 yrs of service, then jc penny jewlery dept might be the answer to you, you might get the apps youre looking for, or a bank!
Bored today (tropical storm and all) so I think I'll say something

Bored today (tropical storm and all) so I think I'll say something.

I have interviewed about 20 people since I have taken on a management role, and have found about 50% to be liars.
I have been a tech for 14 years and this year became a Service Manager. The last interview I had, the guy's resume looked awesome, and when asked technical questions he knew his stuff. I was thinking “COOL!! I got a winner here!!" Before the interview was over I asked three questions that I ask all interviewees.

    1) Do you have a clean driving record?

    2) Can you pass a drug screen?

    3) Can you pass a criminal background check?

    He answered yes to all.
.....Later that week.... His drug test came back positive for marijuana. Personally I don't care what one does in there free time, but to lie, and waste his time (not to mention mine, and the money to take the test) Just doesn’t make sense to me. When I asked him about it he said " I smoked that s#!t a month and a half ago, thought it would be out of my system by now."
So....if you don't understand why some of us are skeptical, maybe this will shed a little light. I guess it goes back to what someone else on this site said, if there looking for a job, there looking for a reason. Don't get me wrong, of the ones I have hired, they are good techs and they had some crazy stuff happen to them. (Kind of like markettech)

After all, I am a stupid technician in the service of my pimp HVAc overlords. I only saw the word written on a report somewhere by our sevice manager who doubles as a nuclear physicist as a hobby.

Good try, however, you removed any doubt as to your level of intelligence with the improper use of "their" when the conjucnction "they're" is the proper application. As old Gump would say, "Stupid is as stupid does".

Im sorry you cant find good help, or cant hold onto them or develop them into being good help or get tired of them, since theyre so tired of working under stressfull unappreciated conditions so to speak, but getting angry doesnt help the employee or the employer.
if they dont work out then fine!
but when a company goes through alot of employee, its ususally a management problem!
and it doesnt take a companyman to tell you that!
hopefully putting on your tools or some time to reflect will help you thats self reflecting!
    3 days are helpful!
if i come to work for you would you act like this?
