Originally posted by flowcheck Yep thats a flowcheck! Do you have more than one zone if so your going to have some ghost flow with out one. Unless your circ has one built in. Some times I run across the old Thrush one armed bandits im allways amazed to see them working after 60 years or more. With a username like yours, you ought to know what a flow check looks like. I've replaced some old ones that had the lever like that on it but I never seen one with a tapping for purging. If he doesn't go back and install a check valve he will definitely hear about it this summer when the rads are throwing off heat. Unless they shut it down and get their domestic hot water from something else.

I used imageshack for this pic. Works great. I had even set up my own imagewiz account but it's such a hassle with the site being down so often. Check it out, it's free and easy to use http://imageshack.us/
If you find benncool he can help you I do not upload photos at this time.
I don't have any on a server, I was trying touse their account with Imagewiz but it does not accept the password
If I write it out then I will get a big X.

You type this [img][/img] then you + the image in between ][ This is for on the internet images only go to properties then go to URL high light it copy it they paste it between ][ go to test area & try it it may take you sometime to get it.
Otto How do you post pics, I have gone to that Imagewiz place but the password does not work. Does it work for you ? Its a two in one, a check valve and a hand valve. [Edited by fat eddy on 02-26-2005 at 04:55 PM]
Looks like an old check valve.
That cool Otto, never seen anything like that in my travels. It almost looks like a manual bypass valve. Thanks for the pic..I will archive just to say, Yep I seen one of those.
Tought this looked cool. Replaced it with a ball valve and tee for purging.
