Signal point does not pay drive time and 75% of the job is drive time. 2 PMs a year and a few thousand sites there is a lot of work in this part of the industry 45 hours. Week plus all year long
In the philly area, a Co out of Georgia, Signal something, was looking for techs. My friend interviewed and passed on it.

Is job security good? Do they give regular raises? The last company I was working for was a stress case from hell, almost made me give up on the industry. Just want feel for it. I know I can run circles around the current guys. Where I'm at now they don't want to use my abilities.
I do cell towers exclusively here in Georgia we do Verizon AT&T Tmobile and a few other smaller carriers. what do you want to know?

in the southeast, and atlantic seaboard its all contracted out. ATS in ORlando has the contract for verison, sprint aND T MOBIL two hour response time, no on call pay, and for the amount of time they take from you without compensation its not worth it ALSO THEY WANT YOU CROSSED TRAINED TO DO GENERATOR REPAIRS AS WELL!!!! all for the big low price of 22.00 hr
Most cell phone towers have a general maintenance person. When it is outside of their expertise they usually call a mechanical service company.
Are ou sure its not the Buisness division? That gobbled up MCI a few years back and I know why theyre having trouble finding people.
What carrier has their own HVAC Tech's? I do quite a bit of work for the #1 carrier.
It's about the same I make now, idk if I can post that but it's decent for SO CAL
I heard low pay
Cell company AC techs Anyone have experience working for the big Cell phone companies? I had a recent opportunity pop up. Lots of PTO, vacation and good benefits. But they are struggling to find people and half the department moved to other areas. Just curious if I'm missing and under lying sign. I currently don't get any time off and even when I do acquire it there isn't much.
