12 Hours Friday, 11 Hours Saturday (had to come in at 6am), 5 Hours Sunday. Had to drive all over because all the techs in another area where off friday and not on-call.
I worked by choice. I have a lot to do and it seems like there is never enough time in a week to do it. Some stores were madhouses and others normal. One mall had an hour line just to get into the parking area. Glad I know a way around that mess. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
Missed this thread somehow when first posted up... I had a duct install in a nasty shallow crawl on friday all day where the old set up was using the crawl as the return plenum, then a couple no heat calls on Sat. for gas furnaces, then a boiler call and a furnace call today. Sat and Sunday were no big deal, but I have to say, Friday did suck bad. We had million mph winds here and was freaking cold! Lol. Worse to come in our area, but it seemed so much worse cuz we just aren't ready for this stuff just yet. In my head it was split which sucked worse. Working in the nasty, knee crushing, dusty, web infested crawl, or heading out for a smoke break and freezing. They both felt about even on that Friday lol.
Worked the holiday plus this weekend but I was on call.

Two furnace installs, both in nasty crawlspaces.
Backup on call. Hwt install, then a noisy furnace. On the bright side stopped at johnstone at the end of the day and bought my testo 320.
Were closed down yesterday and today but emergency service is always there, and yes I am and have been working I just got home from today's terrors, two more days to go...
I was suppose to work but they gave me a choice stand by or stand down.
on call all weekend- replaced a 16yo t-stat on turkeyday for x2pay... took me 3 hrs
We are. Far behind on cleans so humping them out. Couple office ladies off, couple of the guys otherwise hard at work. Despite the cold & wind, few service calls came in. Phone was pretty dead. Some of the supply houses were closed today, lazy bums.
keeping the banks rolling right along for all your shopping wives.
Paid holiday.... on call, two calls today, a low temp freezer at a blood plasma place and an IT server room. 6 hours total.
I did! CSD-1 inspections and changed some belts
On call for one more hour, hope I don't loose my phone or something!
I'm on call, and have one no heat call to head out to. Its 67 degrees out. Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
I certainly dont miss running out of a service truck. I did that for 10 years. i went corporate. now i have my own cubicle and the best boss ever. Same money but no stress. still get my hands dirty too tho. the best of both worlds. I should have done this a long time ago
9 to 5 today. Leak ckecking a couple of mini-splits.
7 to 330. Cleaned some ice machines this morning and now commencing operation hideout at my desk. Shoes off and feet up. This place is a ghost town today.
I should have stayed at the rubber band plant, we got three paid days off for Turkey day and a week off paid for Christmas. Now I'll be lucky if i get Christmas off.
