Ive been doin resi no cools and tuneups all summer, and I haven't disconnected them yet. The new velcro wire is beefier.
I do agree, if they fell or something dropped on the plug it would break. I have a very secure spot for them in my truck.

The original YJ DRSA was, as stated, the DC 1200.

YJ dropped DC, put out an awful set of solar gauges for a while, then took the general shape and configuration of the 1200 and made their new RSA. If I'm not mistaken, it still has the same YJ part number as the DC1200 did.

    Ohhh
Sorry I'm behind on all the DRSA stuff
I just got mine last week
    I can't believe I waited this long
I'm thinking of ordering another one
For some reason I don't quite trust my old dinosaur gauges.
Maybe I'll sell them all cheap at hvac school here in town

I believe they've had one for a few years now but it's the dc 1200 not the ak900 unless they have a new model out.

I gotcha, sounds like good advice, I'll keep that in mind. I can definitely see how that could cause damage if dropped.

No problem, so far I'm liking them a lot more than the Velcro. When you put the screw in it's a little tight getting it through the other side but makes for a snug fit. You can adjust the yellow pad to match the dc pad, could glue that one in place. Keep the extra pads somewhere so of you lose one you have a replacement.

This should link to the step by step. It's the Irwin micro clamp, mines from lowes, can be found on eBay as well. Check out the thread, you'll find it's a very easy solid setup, no glue, there's a perfect spot for the screw.

Where did you get that mini clamp?
    Did you glue it on?
Did it mount with the small screws it came with?

    My ak900
    Been very good so far.
I'm planing to buy another one.
    Who sells it for $280?

I disconnect mine because it would be very easy to break the plug leaving it sticking out of the head.

I would think I could connect my 4 connections as fast as a DC customer could?
So what makes this thing better?

What am I missing or am failing to see?

Its cheaper than analog, because they stay accurate and are more durable. You can read them in low light situations. Instantly know what your sat temps are without having to look at the small numbers in the "green" or "pink". Hose parks in front are super easy to use. Hold feature for writing down system pressures/temps. All on one screen.... Looks more professional. Saves time on pressure tests because it can read in tenths... you know fairly quick if you have a leak. I'm probably missing something... They fit nice in my hand lol... can you tell I Love my AK900??????????

Have had the ak900 for two weeks now. I'm liking them a lot. Had to tight between the manifold and head on high side about a 1/8 of a turn to keep from leaking but no big deal. Mine came with the stretch Velcro sensor, I like everything about the sensors except having to use two hands to get Velcro tight and it's tough in tight spaces, I found a super easy and cheap way to convert the Velcro to a bar clamp that works great. Started a thread on the conversion if anyone's interested.

The final pic here isn't the finished product but you get the idea.
