    This is for an hvac job for michigan cat.
    I thought it was odd but the nice gal on the phone or the cat recrueter said this was to maintain customers and their facilities?
    Kind of cool.

    Caterpillar doesn't hire people directly. They use VOLT staffing to prevent unions. I worked at their Corinth MS plant for awhile, but the money is terrible. If you work there long enough you might get hired from VOLT to Cat and see a usable wage, but until then, you are looking at slightly above minimum wage. We're talking about $8.25 an hour. I think they contract their plant maintenance out, as well.
