Fayetteville is just like any other town- there's good and bad. It's what you make of it. Fayetteville is actually a pretty good town to live in. I'm originally from Boston-could tell you about the bad parts you don't want to be caught in after dark. I could also tell you about all the historic sites you should visit. What the visitors to any town see is usually very limited in what that particular city or town has to offer. I'll bet everyone slamming Fayetteville never got past Rick's Lounge,Bragg Boulevard,or any of the other places soldiers or contractors frequent. I'm sure that if I visited your town I could find plenty of things that suck about where you live. That being said I just want to state that I don't work for the chamber of commerce or the local visitor's bureau.

    Thats the place.

When I was there, very few stores (electronics, cars, etc) had prices posted in complete numbers- just in monthly payments.

Prices at food stores sure seemed to creep up on the GI pay cycles...

I thought Al Khobar appreciated American money more than Fayetteville... you *knew* you were being screwed, but at least they were nice about it, unlike in NC on US soil.
