Portable? and cheap?
There's also the wireless CCTV ones too.
I thought about the baby monitor route, too. Downside, if you use Testo H2, you have to go turn them back on as they shut off. Also, not sure how close up you can get.
I'll have to check the baby monitors again. I checked a few years ago for something wireless and they were still expensive. The iBall looks cheaper but not as portable without a built in battery. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BsC6eadXS4
Features are lacking. It doesn't even offer on-board recording, time-lapse recording or motion triggered recording. I fail to see what it does that cheap baby monitor camera from Wal-Mart doesn't. A video conference cell phone and a helmet mount might be more useful. You could then have a senior tech in the office who could instruct the entry level tech to turn on the camera and see what he's seeing and instruct him what to do from the office and see everything he's seeing.
Uh Night Vision? Awesome!..... Would be cool to see some practical application.
Make Any Meter Wireless? http://www.swifthitch.com/brochure11.pdf Anybody have a Swift Hitch? Says 300ft wireless range unobstructed. Might be able to add wireless to every meter you already own plus help with servicing stuff by actually seeing something where you are not. The backup camera part would be nice too but I can't justify the price if thats all it can do.
