Ah yes I've heard of that device, called the "CopperWatcher"

I called about the gadget sold to 'protect' A/C units. It's a box that connects to the electric and refrigerant lines, and the alarm system. If a machine shuts down or loses power, the alarm monitoring service is notified. WE lose a few machines a year to theft, but my boss doesn't feel the anual loss will exceed the cost of installation and related expenses. My place is just to keep the stuff running.

They do nicer work than alot of our guys......... ???

What a shame, every A/C unit is at risk of being stolen if there's not a dang good guard around it.

It's getting carried away out there. CiCi's pizza, right next to a 24 hour WalMart supercenter. Big old Choo Choo above it missing a condenser. Luckily it's been cold.

Better watch out, those compressors look rabid, they are frothing at the mouth pretty good.
