I think you get the office one with the program and pay extra for portable one.

    I'm confused.

Ask about the portable one, but don't get the portable one?

what is the difference between the two? i am kinda leaning towards the portable one. i need it to be easely moved and set up each time? do you prefer one over the other? with the portable one, does it need to be hooked up for every scan or does it have some storage?

The program does allow you to convert images to PDF's and save them in other folders on your computer (folders unrelated to the TryNeat program).

When all is said and done - it's really nothing more than an electronic filing cabinet.....and while it does have a few little bells and whistles that I haven't really looked into - TryNeat does about what your current filing cabinet does.
thanks, you guy's are a big help. i think i will go pick one up tomorow.

You can take the neat desk with you.....it's not very big. Problem is it needs a 115V power supply and USB to your computer. I'm not entirely sure of the requirements of the smaller version.

It's really a simply machine to use - scan in whatever you want a copy of, and it pops up on your computer screen.

The hardest part for me was setting up my "file cabinet"......and that wasn't overly tough to do.
