I'm gonna turn on the tv again even tho I am starting to not want to...the news is getting too depressing.

Watched Geraldo cry last nite and the other anchor begging for help for people on the bridges and overpasses that have been neglected.

Maybe there will be some progress in getting to the looters. Imagine the innocent people who are still trapped in the heart of the city where the looting is. They must be either dead or soon to be if help does not arrive. Not all down there are bad but I wish they would show some footage of 'people who deserve to be rescued', but that is a little harsh, I know.

    As far as:
No help till the looting/shooting stops, that is a bit unrealistic, aint it?

I can't stand it any more. The N.O. area was under a MANDATORY evacuation, they should have left when they had a chance.
Fix the levee, reverse the water pumps, and fill the place up for a couple of weeks. At least the looters are staying in N.O. and not coming here.
As for fuel prices, I would gladly pay 4.00 per gal. if there was any to be bought. I was in 4 parishes today and put over 400 miles on my service truck which is now on empty and I can find no fuel. several of our refineries are under water and several others are having to cut production due to the lack of crude available.
I agree this is like chlorine for the gene pool. Hurricanes are not new to the Gulf Coast having lived there for 20 years myself and weathering several storms you prepare. It takes a simple plan. If you are dumb enough to stay don’t complain if it takes some time to rescue your dumb A$$. I do feel for the people who lost property I know some of them it is terrible but they are alive because they left when they were told to (imagine that). New Orleans has a large poor black population. The news is trying to put a racial spin on some of this which is a bunch of BS. You leave when you are told you are safe regardless of race.

I say no supplies or help till the looting/shooting stops.

They need to mount M60 machine guns on the rescue helicopters, that would put and end to them shooting at the copters.

I listen to 103.7 FM out of Houston and Jim Pruett's Guns and Ammo was running special prices on "Looter Shooters" (pistol grip Mossberg pump shotguns) and ammo. My home is well armed and if I were on a search and rescue in N.O. I damn sure would not go unarmed.

    Isn't this just swell.

Seems now that gangs of our well-tanned brethren have looted guns and ammo. Mark my words, once the police force and the National Guard get into place, the s##t's gonna hit the fan.

New Orleans is gonna turn into a violent war zone. Jesse and the NAACP are gonna have a field day with this.

new emergency fish and game laws in La

By order of the Governator: No bag limit on looters and no closed season!

They have no excuse for this except they are parasites. When Hugo was clobbering my home town with gust to 129, a local drug store owner caught two goons trying to break in to steal drugs- at the height of the storm!

After the storm, we had Nat'l Guard riding around with Em Sixteen's locked and loaded. In Charleston, they did bag a few.

Society won't miss trash like them. If they need food and water, go to the shelters and wait in line like everyone else. Next damn storm, they'll get the hell out when told. I have no sympathy for such scumbags. There are real people with real needs we need top take care of. We now have our very own Tsunami to deal with. This is going to get MUCH worse. Really bad....

Saw a picture of a guy stealing a basketball goal. A FRIGGIN BASKETBALL GOAL!!!!! Now I just KNOW he was needing that to help him get through this time of desperation.
