    no they do not have drive motors they used a stator and magnet, the inverter board sends dc voltage thru the stator which is on the outside if the barrel there is a magnet on the inside which satrts to spin from the electrical current going thru the stator,

    Ya the pinnacle what a great machine, nothing like adding like 5000 dc volts thru an inverter board and putting an ice bath on top of it, in theroy the stator and magnet would be great but add the moisture to the staor and hall board and have fun with the drive errors, and 7 degree diff on the thermisters gives you a refrig error,

    Looks like a very thorough manual.Alot of electronics on these new machines.Are there variable speed drive motors for the augers on these things?

    lmfao you have never worked on a pinnacle....
    As far as what the machines do and how they work is simple.There are alot of controls ect. that can get confusing but found them relatively easy to work on once I spent some time with them.And no I never worked on a pinnacle.

    I've got experience with frozen drink and soft serve equipment. Mainly one brand but have seen just about anything out there.

    I worked for a company last year and did some service on slush machines mostly.A refractormeter is required to get the syrup/carbonation mixture correct.Alot of the newer machines have a digital readouts that make repairing them a little easier.really there isn't too much to the slush machines.

    Frozen drink machine techs

    Hi everyone. I just found this forum while doing some research for my latest project. I work for Pensa, a design company out in Brooklyn, NY, and our latest project involves frozen drink equipment. Our group is interested in talking to someone who has experience with a range of frozen drink/soft-serve machines and who can comment on common problems both with the equipment and the products it produces. There would be a few initial questions, followed by a more in-depth phone interview (or potentially an in-person interview if you live in Brooklyn). And there will be payment for your time.
