I work for a company that is contracted through CBRE to maintain a property. They are a company that is mainly into property managment and leasing but they do have quite a few maintenance mechanics as well. Not sure about the pay or benes but like a few others said all commercial buildings, usually in good shape, they do spend the money(depending on the property I would think) to keep things maintained and fixed properly. Good luck

CBRE is known to be a low payer.

Friend of mine works for them. He likes it and the pace is a lot calmer than working in the field and for about the same money. Only thing is that it is a contract position. But at least you know what to expect out of it.

You'll get many different opinions, but here's my
Guaranteed 40 hours, no crawl spaces, no hot attics. you get sick time, vacation time, paid holidays, pretty competitive wages, and I almost forgot:no overtime, no arguing with po'd homeowners. For me, it was a no brainer. Check their websites and see how many jobs are posted. If you bust your hump, there's a ladder you can climb.

I interviewed with them a few months ago. I did not take the job because there was a huge difference in benefits. They took over the BOA account in the northeast from JLL.

CBRE is a property maintance company. Around here they have techs in vans that do just that. They don't get to technical with there repairs. Mostly belts and filters, change a lightbulb, fix a lock on a door. If there's a bigger issue they call in contractor's that specialize in that field. I've delt with a few of there employes and thay seem happy. Pretty laid back, stress free gig. Pay and bennys are ok.

I too work for a company that gets calls from cbre. I see them around and they criticize what your doing but won't do it themselves I think they are more maintenance than anything
