we had some social housing accounts with the county, and most of the basement looks like that. some are neat and tidy, but that's a rarity.
I don't miss those calls. Rooftops don't sound so bad now lol

Been to a few hoarder's homes by now. It looks like this in the main living areas. They always say, with perfect sincerity, " excuse the mess, getting ready for a garage sale" or "my fill in the blank has been bothering me lately so I can't tidy up too well..." My favorite is the wall they put up when finishing the basement...about 18 inches in front of the blower door. I only found one so far that would be physically impossible to remove the blower housing with out removing part of the wall - and I just know it'll be my on-call when the damn blower locks up.
