After 6 years in the trade using UEI meters i purchased my first Fieldpiece product, the sc77, love everything about the meter except short leads and no magnet. Meter operation is flawless! since that day i have slowly added more FP products to my service van due to the excellent customer service i have received. Today i received a box full of new tools.
Sman4, HG3, extra et2w, extra dual temp head, and a few more heads. I now put all of my trust in FP instruments because they stand behind them and i have yet to get a false reading from any FP product.
Thanks for the great tools and a big thanks for the great customer service, you make my job easier and safer!

Well I cannot say the DC 'vigorously' gives data... however it DOES give data on a predictable basis... something many other electronic test gadgets do NOT do.

Most forum posts; regardless of origin; have a propensity to be intransitive...

Yeah that's exactly what I want to do......flush the manifold each time? Nope.

I always flush my SMAN3 with nitrogen after each use, and have never had any problems with the sensors! I know a few people with SMAN's and most of them flush with nitrogen after each use and never have had problems. Maybe check your Nitrogen regulator or maybe the hose for some type of contamination?! Just trying to help out if I can.
    Good Luck

Besides the price, what is the difference between the SC56 and the SC55?

edit: The video explains the difference at the very end. I think I'm going to go with the 56 even though it's a bit more in price. I like the inrush current feature.

The SC77. The sheer jump in quality and trust in my meter has been significant. Next fieldpiece purchase will likely be a set of SMAN3 or SMAN4 manifolds. Probably in a few months

Do you try to short it out if it will read a cold junction. Not sure if it works like that on this meter.

Fluke 289..USA made... I could not agree more. And at $500 a pop it says quite a bit about the quality of tools the buyer owns.

Other than when I was checking out all the features when I first unboxed it, I've never actually used the temperature function of my SC56.
