Before manual J fit the loads for GeoThermal loops to meet a 24/7 running system and a loop entering above performance contracting of 34*f, we used the one that Solstar Solar came up with, and since then houses only got tighter.

It still works for most of what you desgribe to also look at if the home still had an 8.1/2-9 ft room height- and vaulteds as then 2 stories (smaller second).

hihg return airs pose more run time for cooling but then dries the home more so too, a practical efficiency with cellulose insulated- breathing homes without ervs to 5000 sq ft or more... I have reason to believe.

A 3- 3.1/2 air volume change thru a heat pump or high eff air works well with high returns.
Variable VFD Compressors in GT and others works great to that calc at the very highest speed, alleviating 3 and 4 significant figure calculations as some companies VFD's are 3t 4.1/2t and 5.1/2 to 6 t, by comparing to other AHRI ratings

Thanks, I will work on that! I was out of pocket in the HVAC business for some years (1990’s) and I was looking into some software to educate myself while I attend trade school. My goal is NATE certifications start a mechanical electrical contracting business (semi retirement).
