Either it is genetic or you are dehydrated.

"Most bruises form when small blood vessels (capillaries) near your skin's surface are broken by the impact of a blow or injury. When this happens, blood leaks out of the vessels and initially appears as a bright or dark red, purple or black mark. Eventually your body reabsorbs the blood, and the mark usually disappears."

For a while it looked like I would be on coumadin, which is literally rat poison. Rats can't throw up, so I'd think it is easy to kill them.

There's also this thing about ED50, the Effective Dose for 50% of the people, and LD50, the Lethal Dose. If the ED is close to the LD that is a medicine I don't want to take.

I have taken massive dosages of aspirin over the years. No matter how much aspirin I take, I have to squeeze even stitchworthy cuts to get them to bleed freely.

You are correct. I know I am too heavy and I know I eat a lot of wrong things.

I must say that I have not been very fair in aging as well.

I ended up getting 2 stents in the same artery...just dont know which one..
    100 percent blockage.

got a prescription to plavix.....and simvastatin.

Supposed to see my doc within 2 weeks...Im going this friday....and supposed to see the cardiologist in 3 months...

I hope all is well, I dont think I will allow any more poison to be injected into my body and I dont think I will allow any more xrays.

I have not had a cigarette since this began...since the morning of the procedure.....I had a couple of drags off one going into the hospital and really have not paid it much mind since then. I think about them...but Im not having any sort of cravings.

I hope I can stay off them....and without going to food or something else as a substitute... think of the $$$$$, I smoked marlboros....and they aint cheap...but oddly enough they are cheaper than newports....lol

Going back to work tomorrow but I think Im gonna ask for some vacation days off or something....cause I still feel bad.... might just be stress...but I want to see my own doctor before getting back into the normal grind.

If you can more easily remember things that happened a long time ago than recently, it may mean hardening of the arteries in the brain. More pills!?

84 YO males in the US have a 50-50 chance of reaching 90 and a 10% chance of reaching 95 and 1 chance in 60 of reaching 100.

BTW, when and if you are 110 YO you have a 50-50 chance of living one more year.

Last summer, my Dad (age 84) had a triple bypass. Recovery is SLOW. Dad seems to have gained a little more physical strength and endurance than he had before, but his mind is not recovering as quickly as I expected. Short term memory is just not there as it used to be. Does anyone know about this?

Dad drives his car, does the things he used to do a year ago (in moderation as he used to), and generally lives a life of an 80+ person. The doc's said 'Whatever gets you in the end, it will not be your heart'.

He may live to be a centurion (age 100).

Point is; we can survive heart issues.

I have to take a bunch of meds too. I don't like some of the side affects at all. Mostly, my taste buds are shot. Oh well, maybe it will help me lose weight.

My first heart attack did some real permanent damage to my heart. I can definitely tell the difference in my stamina. My upper body strength is still there, but if I lift something heavy, I will be beat for the next half an hour. A climb up a set of stairs or steep incline also wipes me out.

Do/can meds help your damaged heart?

I think you're entitled to some money back.

"Heart disease seems to be pretty common for the docs nowadays."

What's weird on the graph is, at age ~70, heart disease and cancer seem neck-and-neck, but then cancer deaths drop off but heart disease mortality keeps increasing with age.
I think the cancer deaths drop off because cancer usually kills earlier than 70. . .? The age at the highest rate for smoking deaths is ~45.
